Small in size but big in ambition with its main squad playing at the fifth level of the Dutch national footbal competition.
A bit more to the south lays Geleen. A city in the center of former coal mining industrie, of which Limburg was known for in the old days.
The city of Geleen has several football clubs, but none of them can rival the attitude of FC Geleen Zuid.
FC Geleen Zuid has a thriving academy with both male and female squads playing in the Dutch football competition.
For the first time these clubs go hand in hand and are proud to organise the first edition of the Limburg Cup.
